Two hundred and forty fake ants is not a pack, it is a colony — and BR Costumes has boxed it up ready for deployment. Every ant in this mega haul measures around 2cm, with translucent red-brown legs and antennae and a dark segmented body that looks alarmingly authentic whether it is sitting solo on a saucer or swarming across an entire dessert table.

At this scale, you are catering for events. Haunted houses, school fetes, Halloween street parties, themed markets — 240 ants gives decorators the freedom to drench every surface in creepy detail without counting them out one by one. It is also a smart pick for anyone stocking up for resale, assembling favour bags in bulk, or running the kind of long-game prank operation where the family finds ants in unexpected places well into next year.
