With an additional T-slot (Not including in the package), the back groove could be used for installation when the contact surface is too short, or could be addition support when using long linear scale.

CONVENIENT & PRACTICAL- A rigid metal extrusion with slotted end blocks for simple adjustable mounting. Several mounting points for through hole or easy attachment to brackets and additional mounting hardware.
